Decor Glass
The ‘Rivid’ back painted glass involves embossing a pattern into the glass during manufacture bypassing the semi-molten glass through a set of rollers prior to annealing. One side remains smooth while the texture is applied to the other side making the product look more elegant. The glass is an international Technology and there is a 100% guarantee on its thickness and consistency.
Glass is 2mm in thickness and is scratch & knocking resistance. Its light weighted and the size available is 1500 x 1250 mm. The hard surface can bear up to 30-50 Mpa and is boiling water resistance for approx 60 mins.
Glass is placed in a roller hearth toughening furnace. The glass is heated about 700`c then rapidly cooled, resulting in the glass retaining high compressive stresses and smooth polishing effect. Half toughened glass is two to three times stronger than ordinary glass.
It does not require any maintenance apart from cleaning and is obviously termite, borer, fungus resistance.
Glass Cutting Process
Rivid décor glass is 2mm in thickness and a half tempered so while cutting you need a good quality Diamond Cutter (Hirakani) and a wise worker.
First Step
First cut the plastic film with a normal cutter (Blade) and then remove the protective plastic film.
Second Step
Make the measurement on the glass, apply kerosene on the glass which needs to be cut and then using the good quality diamond cutter cut the glass.
Third Step
Again using a normal cutter (Blade) cut the plastic protective film from back.
Its Done !
The glass is ready to enhance your interior.
